BootUp is pleased to announce a partnership with micro:bit in a year-long professional learning experience. This program will support 4th - 8th educators and students to become confident and critical creators of artificial intelligence. Using micro:bit CreateAI, a free tool that connects physical movement to machine learning, teachers can help students see AI as something that can be built, not just used.
The CreateAI Pilot program is active all across the country and micro:bit is looking to implement this program in 300 schools across the U.S. No prior AI, CS, coding, or data science experience is required.
Participants in this research study will be fully equipped with a free micro:bit Club Pack (including 10 micro:bits and wearable wrist straps) and complete sets of ready-to-use lesson plans, slides, and supporting materials. Participants will be provided a full year of support -- including a virtual kick-off and quarterly webinars led by BootUp Professional Development, and access to a community of fellow educators. Teachers will be supported to teach novel concepts in a fun, hands-on way, while making links to learning in computer science and data science.
Applications close on June 30. To apply please visit this link. Any questions can be directed to CreateAIPilot@bootuppd.org.
