Suzanne B. Carlson, M. Ed.

Suzanne Carlson is the District Coding Accelerator at BootUp PD, a non-profit organization preparing and empowering teachers and implementing elementary computer science programs
nationwide.

Suzanne has over a decade of experience in education, sales and marketing, and non-profits. Suzanne started her career in broadcast promotions and marketing. She had the opportunity to develop marketing plans for the Kansas City Chiefs Radio Network. This is where her love for the KC Chiefs started. Still cheering the team on even though she no longer lives in KC. Suzanne spent over 10 years as a classroom teacher. First, as a high school marketing teacher to developing an entire computer curriculum for K-8 graders.

Suzanne, for the past couple of years, has enjoyed sales in the education and software fields. She is excited to take on her new role at BootUP PD as she will have the ability to combine her love for education with the passion of delivering learning opportunities to students across the country.

Suzanne has worked in the non-profit sector for over 10 years. She developed programming for students to engage in career development and financial literacy.

While attending New Hampshire College, now Southern New Hampshire University, she pursued a double major in Marketing and Business Education. She was fortunate to attend the University of Nebraska for her Master’s Degree in Business Education with a minor in Marketing Research. Her love for teaching and learning was developed through her classroom opportunities during her undergraduate and graduate teaching assistant programs.

Outside of work, Suzanne enjoys time with her family and friends. She has three grown children -- one living in Wisconsin and two in Austin, Texas. She loves cooking, traveling, and spending time with her family.
