Our Approach
At BootUp, we believe that opportunity should never be determined by a child's zip code. Yet today, millions of young learners, particularly in historically excluded communities, are left behind in the digital revolution before they even reach middle school.
Our approach tackles this inequity at its root by equipping young children with the skills and confidence to shape the technology-driven world they’re inheriting.
This is not just about coding. It’s about access, agency, and future-readiness. Starting early, teaching ethically, and reaching widely, we’re ensuring every child, especially those furthest from opportunity, can participate meaningfully in a tech-advanced world.
BootUp’s Impact
“After the BootUp trainings I feel more comfortable about teaching coding not only to students, but my colleagues too.”

The Solution: A Research-Based, Scalable Strategy
Transforming Professional Development For Sustainability
Establishing a train-the-trainer model builds local capacity by empowering a core group of educators to lead sustained, peer-driven professional development, an evidence-based approach proven to scale teacher expertise and promote instructional coherence across school systems (Darling-Hammond et al., 2017).
Research-Driven Growth
Strategic implementation is guided by continuous data collection and research-informed decision-making to ensure program fidelity, contextual adaptation, and equitable impact, aligning with best practices in scaling educational innovation (Fixsen et al., 2005; Dede et al., 2007).
Scaling Elementary Education With CS/AI Integrated Curriculum
Integrating CS and AI as core components of the K–5 curriculum ensures all students have early exposure to computational thinking and ethical technology use, reinforcing cross-disciplinary learning and future readiness, consistent with national recommendations for inclusive computing education (Wing, 2006; NAS, 2021).
