Don brings more than 25 years of leadership experience in global business strategy, marketing, and organizational development. He spent a distinguished career with IBM Corporation, serving as Branch Manager in Central Missouri, Director of Marketing & Business Development for IBM China (based in Tokyo), and Manager of International Marketing for IBM U.S. Following IBM, he held senior executive roles as General Manager of two global software companies—Encompass, Inc. in North Carolina and Lightspeed in Utah.
In 2000, he founded The Transnational Group, LLC, a business and marketing strategy consulting practice whose clients included Fujitsu, Owens & Minor, SAS Institute, Georgia-Pacific, and Capitol Broadcasting, among others.
He earned a B.A. in Economics from Pomona College and pursued executive education at the IBM Advanced Business Institute (Harvard School of Management), IBM Advanced Management School, and IBM Executive Seminar.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Don is deeply engaged in community service, with leadership roles in Rotary International, YMCA, and Habitat for Humanity, and currently serves as a board member of BootUp PD. He enjoys fly fishing, skiing, finger-style blues guitar, and spending time with his wife, Bettina, their daughter Heather, and five grandchildren.
