We provide K-5 teachers with the resources to get started
01
Professional Development
PD Workshops prepare teachers to become confident and effective in coding by sharing computer science and computational thinking concepts, practices, and pedagogy. Our Instructional Coach Course allows educators to increase coaching responsibilities, co-facilitate, and eventually lead PD.
02
On-site Support/ Model Teaching
BootUp supports classroom implementation through onsite Model Teaching and Coaching. Facilitators can either travel to your district to model elementary computer science to your students or virtually lead a model lesson for your classroom.
03
Instructional Coach Course
Instructional coaches take on increased facilitation and coaching responsibilities as they work through the Instructional Coach Course, co-facilitating larger portions of PD. By the third year, instructional coaches are asked to lead all PD with the support of a BootUp facilitator.
We’ll meet you where your district is
In-person
Our professional development combines workshops (regional or district-wide) with in-person model teaching and coaching, delivered over multiple years.
Virtual
We understand the new dynamics the pandemic has brought to our districts, therefore we've modified our professional development to work in a virtual setting without compromising quality.
Hybrid
Have the best of both worlds, and start your teacher professional development program no matter where you are.
