BootUp empowers teachers to implement elementary coding programs through long-term professional development, coaching, and mentoring. Our Professional Development Facilitators work with districts to design customized professional development plans tailored to the unique needs of each district. We meet teachers and district coaches where they are at and equip them with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to effectively teach computer science and computational thinking concepts and practices.
BootUp partners with districts to create customized Action Plans to meet each district’s unique needs. Our long-term plans provide expert guidance and consulting to build a complete elementary coding program.

PD Facilitators prepare teachers by developing a foundation of computer science and computational thinking concepts, providing curriculum, sharing pedagogical content knowledge, and supporting professional learning communities. Whether a specialist or classroom teacher, our PD provides instruction and time to experience computer science as a learner.
District-level coaches are uniquely positioned to champion a new district-wide coding program. The District Coach Development program provides multi-year support to ensure each coach has the background, skills, and resources needed to grow a successful coding program.
